Share the seeds of your story with Melissa Ivey’s Recording Womb - a 12-foot tall by 20 feet wide mobile womb-like dome offering an interactive visual and recording experience. Immerse yourself in ancestral tapestries and garments crafted by my great grandmothers, cocooning visitors in comfort and connection to our origins.
Inside, fabric arts and rebozos form a sensory-rich tapestry, transporting participants to a transcendent realm. Reflect and record messages for future generations in this immersive environment that fosters introspection.

The Recording Womb project, conceived and first built in 2021 marries together my experience as a doula with my artistry as a musician, storyteller, educator, engineer and future ancestor.
This unique, artistic, collaborative space hosts the following:
1. Guided recorded storytelling sessions
2. Education and resources to traditional Indigenous birthing practices.
3. Sober and inclusive space. A calm and inclusive space for all to gather, care for their young, receive support, create art and have guided meditaion coming of age ceremonies. For all ages, abilities, and siblings on earth school to find peace back in the womb and share what they would like to take into the next 7 generations.
