Speaking at a joint workshop on strengthening pharmaceutical manufacturing and capacity building in Abuja, Dr. Mukhtar emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring operational success for private investors. He highlighted three compelling reasons for promoting local pharmaceutical manufacturing:

Strengthening national and regional health security

Driving economic growth

Improving healthcare outcomes for Nigerians and the African region

The event, organized by PVAC in collaboration with Bayer and Chromedix, provided a platform for deliberations on pharmaceutical capacity building and investment opportunities.

Johannes Lehne, Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy, noted that Germany’s partnership with Nigeria demonstrates that strategic bilateral agreements are both feasible and beneficial.
