Merger leagues - or joint leagues - are when two (or more) professional basketball leagues combine for a single regular season together.

This is a great way to get started in Overseas basketball because it can propel you to higher levels and different leagues in professional basketball. Essentially, whenever there are two or more leagues in a single location, you will have more exposure, potential connections, reference points etc.
