Deputies allied to H.E. Bobi Wine have been abducted and remain unaccounted for, as security forces tighten their grip on the opposition. At the same time, Bobi Wine’s family has been blocked from accessing his home in Magere, turning a private residence into a militarized zone.
These actions follow a familiar pattern: intimidation, enforced disappearances, and collective punishment—used to silence dissent and instill fear. What is happening is not isolated. It is part of a systematic campaign against democracy, human rights, and political opposition in Uganda.
The world must pay attention.
