I Restored Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Belt. From Cracked to Perfect Again.

In today’s video, I’ll show you step by step how I completely remade Luke Skywalker’s Jedi belt from scratch in real leather.

As many of you know, Hot Toys usually uses synthetic “leather-like” materials for most of their figures. Unfortunately, those materials don’t last more than 1or 2 years before they start to crack and peel.

For this project, I reused the pouches, hooks, and buckle from the original belt, but recreated the entire strap in genuine leather. I carefully vectorized the design using references from the actual belt worn by Luke Skywalker in the films, and then finished the cut with laser engraving to achieve a precise result.

This issue with deteriorating faux leather on Hot Toys figures is very common, and it will likely continue with future releases that feature outfits or accessories meant to look like leather.
