Описание: Before Calvin Johnson arrived and shattered almost all of the Detroit Lions receiving records, Herman Moore did the same thing in the 90s. Herman Moore was bigger and jumped higher than every defender who tried to stop him, and while Barry Sanders gets most of the credit for any success the 90s Detroit Lions had, Herman Moore made up a big part of their offense. A star for the University of Virginia, he came to the NFL in the early 90s and dominated for the better part of the decade, even setting the NFL's single season reception record in 1995, which wasn't broken until 2002, by Marvin Harrison and then later by many more, including Michael Thomas in 2019. But Herman Moore was putting up numbers which, stastically had him competing with Jerry Rice for a few years in the mid-90s, yet never seems to be talked about. But whether he was suiting up on Sundays, dominating in a season opener, or putting up some of the biggest NFL Thanksgiving numbers of all time, Herman Moore is one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history, but remains a forgotten great that deserves more recognition.
