I’m up in Portland’s West Hills this morning, looking out over PSU through drizzle while helping someone hang an interior barn door in a beautiful old cliffside house. I ramble about sunlight, gloomy afternoons, aging skin, freckles, and zapping spots with an electro‑needle. Then I shift to a comment about public nudity and how some people refuse to consider any viewpoint but their own. Parenting, politics, and bubble‑living all come up as I explain that raising kids means explaining the world around them, even the uncomfortable parts. My friend arrives, so I wrap up with my usual reminder to "Stay Cranky My Friends! Stay Cranky."
