Throema Practice || Dungse Garab Rinpoche || Vajrayana
In this video, Dungse Garab Rinpoche leads a Throema practice, a powerful Vajrayana Buddhist practice that involves visualizing oneself as a wrathful deity and offering one's body, possessions, and even one's own conceptualizations to the forces of death and impermanence. The goal of Throema is to overcome attachment to the ego and to develop the bodhisattva mind, which is the mind of compassion and wisdom.
Dungse Garab Rinpoche is a highly respected lama in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He is the grandson of His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, one of the greatest Nyingma masters of the 20th century. Dungse Garab Rinpoche is a lineage holder of the Throema practice, and he has taught this practice to many students around the world.
In this video, Dungse Garab Rinpoche begins by giving a brief introduction to the Throema practice. He then leads the practice, which is divided into two parts: the visualization and the offering. During the visualization, practitioners visualize themselves as the wrathful deity Krodhikali, who is a manifestation of the bodhisattva of compassion. They then offer their bodies, possessions, and conceptualizations to the forces of death and impermanence.
