Rio de Onor is a village and former Portuguese raiana parish of the municipality of Bragança.
The village is set in the Montesinho Natural Park.
On one side, Rio de Onor Portugal, on the other, Rihonor de Castilla Spain.
Typically transmontana, the village has traditional houses consisting of two floors, upstairs live families, downstairs are cattle, cereals and other land products.
In Rio de Onor, discover the Roman Bridge, the Mother Church, the oven, the forge and the community mills.
The typical handicrafts of the village include basketry and carpentry and the gastronomy highlights the savory sausages.
O (Rionorês), dialect that was born from the mixture of Castilian and Portuguese and is still spoken in the village today.
They also share a community pasture where they feed a unique flock of sheep and goats.
The populations of both countries often own land on the opposite side of the border.
It is crossed by the Onor River, a tributary of the Sabor River, in turn a tributary of the Douro River.
