Jacksonville charity makes homemade wigs for children with life-threatening illnesses

The local Jacksonville charity “Halo Keepers” is turning these wishes into reality. Dozens of volunteers with Halo Keepers are intertwining the spirit of love into handmade wigs for kids going through the unimaginable. Many children with life-threatening illnesses spend their days in sterile rooms with IV lines in their arm and volunteers told us these kids deserve to be showered with kindness.

Philanthropists at “Halo Keepers” made a special personal delivery to surprise a 4-year-old with a one-of-a-kind wig at her home. Addison Tomberlin is battling an aggressive form of cancer in her blood cells which is resistant to standard chemotherapy treatments. Addison’s favorite TV character, Poppy, helps her get through her rigorous treatments. Now, she has a wig that resembles Poppy that she can wear as she goes through chemotherapy.
