Wondering why Track tires? There is actually more tarmac on this event than off-road. The extra acceleration from track tires will help a lot when gaining speed on the tarmac roads. You can see why track tires excel in the Focus RS500 run.

Double Ford runs featuring a Giant tank Ford F-150 SVT Raptor and a little nimble Ford Focus RS500. I made quite a lot of mistakes on the F-150 run, I reckon it can go 2:40 below. While the Focus RS500 run, a traffic was in the way. Of course I don't recommend using the Raptor here, but I highly recommend the Focus RS500 with track tires. It's light, nimble and has superb acceleration combined with great off-road capability. With it's FWD stability, it performs well on the U-turn (though I could do much better than this run). One thing to note during the U-turn, handbrake followed by a few taps on the brake. This is to make your car drift for a smoother exit as well as reduced speed lost. Without the tap brakes, the game will assume you are gripping, therefore lot's of speed lost, and reduced traction.
