Problem Description: Salesforce Customers/Users face problems and Salesforce Community Cloud when using case objects with a partner community login license and Salesforce platform license, as there is no access to case objects in the partner community login license and Salesforce platform license.
Challenges to User/Developer: A workaround for this is to create a permission set that grants access to case objects.
Solution :
Approach: Create a permission set with the Company community for the force.com license and grant read/write access to the case object.
Technical Solution :
To create the permission set:
· Setup-permission sets-new.
Fill in the label, and description, and use the “Company community for force.com” license.
· Click on the Created permission set - Object settings - Cases - Grant the required permissions and click save.
· To assign this permission set to a user, Go to the user detail page - click on “edit assignments” under the permission set assignments section.
· Select the Created permission set and save.
Advantage: Access to case object with Salesforce platform license.
Issues: None.
Conclusion: This workaround gives access to case object with partner community login and Salesforce platform licenses
