Here we are introduced to what a fraction is.
You learn about numerators and denominators. The best way to know what a fraction is, is to divide food into equal parts and to build your own fractions.
We look at how to halve an apple and how to divide it further into quarters.
The orange has 7 equal parts and 3 parts are eaten. 3/7 parts are eaten and 4/7 parts remain.
