Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy 2019

Описание: The Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy has been organised since 2012. During the conference, representatives of NGOs, public institutions and academia from around the world, exchange views and share know-how on consolidating democracy, strengthening democratic institutions, supporting civil society and respecting human rights.

During the opening panel of this year's Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy conference, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz noted that “we oppose all forms of restriction of freedom of religion and belief and condemn all acts of violence and discrimination on the grounds of religion or belief". In launching the 8th edition of the Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy, organised under the theme “Freedom of religion or belief as a pillar of democracy", the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that “freedom of religion is closely related to other fundamental freedoms, such as freedom of expression or freedom of assembly and association, which are the basis of democratic societies". The subject of freedom of religion results directly from Polish priorities in the field of human rights and is a natural consequence of Poland's involvement in the promotion of freedom of religion or belief as a universal human right.
