Blueberries are a native New Jersey fruit that was first commercialized here. Scientists and extension agents continue to work to reduce diseases and to provide growers with advice on economically and environmentally sound practices. Learn about trends in worldwide blueberry harvesting, and how blueberries can be successfully grown in a home garden.
Our presenter is Dr. Gary C. Pavlis of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Atlantic County. His presentation was recorded live at the January 8, 2026 meeting of the Gloucester County Nature Club held in Wenonah, New Jersey.
