This lecture was part of the Autumn 2022 Research Seminar Series in the Department of Classics at the University of Reading. In the autumn term 2022 we welcomed a wide range of speakers from both the UK and abroad on a variety of topics related to Classics and Archaeology, Classical Reception, and interdisciplinary approaches. The seminars were delivered in a blended way, with both online and in-person coverage, and all recordings will be gradually available on our YouTube Channel.
This lecture was delivered by Dr. Elena Giusti (Warwick) in October 2022. The title of the seminar was ‘Rome's imagined Africa’.
