Police overturns handcart in Varanasi, gets suspended as video goes viral

An incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi has come into light where a police inspector was seen overturning the handcart.
The video went viral on social media and following which the sub-inspector has been suspended. The cop is seen throwing the material from the cart and he later overturned the cart. An inquiry has been ordered in the case and the handcart owner has been compensated.
An incident of similar sort came into light from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, where the cop asked for bribe if the handcart owner wasn not moving his cart. Both these incidents have been reported during the times of COVID, which makes it all the more harder for the handcart owners, as they would have to bear the loss even when they have almost nothing.
