Habibo Sheik Dahir Ali came from Somalia where she did a thyroidectomy which caused to her a paralysis of both vocal cords. Habibo was admitted in Acıbadem Bakırköy Hospital in Istanbul with stridor, a high-pitched wheezing sound during respiration and dyspnea.
Professor Ferhan Öz has performed a Posterior Cordectomy to allow her breathing easily. "Now I can speak, I can breathe, I can sleep… I feel like I came back to life!"
