Both of them (Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X) are not intended for a wide audience, as indicated by their high prices ($ 1980 and $ 2600 respectively) and the fact that they will be released in limited editions (according to unofficial data, Samsung Galaxy Fold will be released in a year 1 million units, and Huawei Mate X - 200 thousand). Both of these smartphones - first attempt at writing, such a groundwork for the future. And everyone has advantages: Huawei Mate X offers a larger screen without cutouts, it folds up without a gap and is much thinner; In turn, Samsung's Galaxy Fold design, which is clearly much more difficult technically (the bend radius of the main panel is clearly smaller), looks more advantageous in terms of protecting the main screen. It is difficult to say now how practical such smartphones will be. But the head of Huawei is already confidently saying that Samsung has chosen the losing option. Yes, it would be strange if he recognized the model of the main rival as more successful, but another is more interesting.
