Communities have expressed disappointment at mining companies which they accuse of not doing enough to develop the communities on whose land they extract minerals. This concern was highlighted at the two-day North West mining and energy investment conference in Rustenburg. The Mineral Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe attended the conference.
