This device came to me after being in two repair shops.
The device had mild water damage, however, ultrasonic cleaning as a “pre-repair” step made it much harder to fix. At the end of the day, the main issue of the device was PMU VDD HI, which I already described here:

There will be more steps to make the device fully operational. Audio does not work, and there are also dozens of small, slightly corroded caps which are better to be replaced.
This device is a perfect example of how to make a simple repair much harder and more difficult to spot. Ultrasonic cleaning does not fix anything and it makes troubleshooting harder. Even though the board might look squeaky clean, you will not ever find the issue I repaired on this board unless you know the basics of the power sequence.
