Hello! Today I'm talking about how the journey of recovering from narcissistic abuse is a journey of self-realization and self-actualization. It's just a journey from a very un-realized or un-actualized place. In a way, the narcissist un-realizes his/her victims.
The survivor of narcissistic abuse, like anyone else, self-actualizes through the meeting of needs (see Maslow's hierarchy of needs). And in order to reach higher on the mountain of self-actualization, you're going to need your feet to get a higher footing first. This means the needs that are least met, the needs that you have the worst relationship with, need to be addressed first and foremost.
