The F/M swap will bring much more de-interlining & make QBL service more efficient than ever.
On December 8th, 2025,
The F/M trains will exchange routes between Manhattan and Queens to alleviate some congestion, reduce switching and merging to bring much more efficiency between the two boroughs. The F will still run via its old route on 63rd Street on Nights & Weekends when the M isn't running through 6th Avenue & Queens Boulevard.
