In West Bengal, while some surveys such as Matrize and ABP point to an edge for the BJP, others like People’s Pulse indicate the Trinamool Congress could retain a strong position. In Kerala, projections largely suggest a tight UDF–LDF contest, with several polls giving the Congress-led alliance a slight advantage. Assam, however, appears more settled, with most exit polls indicating the BJP-led NDA is on course to retain power comfortably.

Voting saw strong participation in all five regions, a factor that could influence the final outcome. Assam recorded a turnout of 85.96 per cent among its 2.5 crore electorate, while Puducherry logged 89.87 per cent voting, its highest since 1964. Tamil Nadu, which voted in a single phase on April 23, saw around 82.24 per cent turnout across its 234 constituencies, with steady queues reported through the day.
