On this road trip to Yellowstone, our primary destination, we decided to make some fun stops along the way. Going to Yellowstone National Park with kids can be challenging when attempting to balance safety and fun. So it is important that everyone understands all of the safety rules. This is different from most Yellowstone Vlogs because it is meant to capture the moments a family can have together with kids both at Yellowstone and at fun stops you can find on your road trip there through Nevada, New Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and South Dakota.
That being the case, Yellowstone National Park is just one of the natural beauties you will find in this video. In Utah, we make a stop at Meadow Hot Springs. It is on private land but just off Interstate 15 and the land owner allows visitors free of charge and without reservations. So take care of the place and take your trash with you,
From Meadow Hot Springs, we made a stop at Antelope Island, Utah where we were able to see Buffalo (Bison) and other animals like, as you may have guessed, antelope. After Antelope Island we made our way to Yellowstone and spent three and a half days there. While there we saw many of the Yellowstone geysers, lots of animals, and Mammoth Hot Springs. As we made our way out of Yellowstone's east entrance we saw Devil's Tower, Mount Rushmore, and the Crazy Horse Memorial, making our way through Wyoming and South Dakota. Eventually, we made it back to Utah where we visited the Bonneville Salt Flats.
My family travels with the kids via road trips at least three times a year so I am happy to provide advice and insight.

Drive to Fillmore Utah-start early
On the way stop and visit Valley of Fire about an hour past Las Vegas
Spend the night in Fillmore

Day 2
In the morning, drive 20 minutes to Meadow Hot Springs
In the afternoon, drive to Salt Lake City Utah, and visit Antelope Island.
Spend the night in Salt Lake City Utah

Day 3
Drive to West Yellowstone (start not later than 7am
Spend the afternoon seeing 1/4 of Yellowstone
Spend the night in West Yellowstone

Day 4
Spend the day seeing 2/4 of Yellowstone
Spend the night in West Yellowstone

Day 5
Spend the afternoon seeing 3/4 of Yellowstone
Spend the night in West Yellowstone

Day 6
Spend the afternoon seeing 4/4 of Yellowstone
Drive to Cody Wyoming and spend the night

Day 7
Drive to Sundance Wyoming
Spend the afternoon visiting Devils Tower
Spend the night in Sundance Wyoming

Day 8
Drive to Mt. Rushmore and spent the morning there
Drive to Crazy Horse Monument and spend some time there
Drive to Casper Wyoming and spend the night

Day 9,
Drive to Salt Lake City, Utah. Drive 1.5 hours to Bonneville Salt Flats that evening
Spend the night in Salt Lake City

Day 10
Drive Home
