Iran plans to increase ballistic missiles’ range as Khamenei vows ‘crushing response’ against Israel

Описание: Following an attack on Iran almost a week ago, Iran issued a fresh threat to Israel amid rising tensions b/w both countries. While speaking at a gathering, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said US and Israel “will definitely receive a crushing response”. He made his comments to students in Tehran ahead of the 45th anniversary of the 1979 seizure of the US embassy in Tehran. Meanwhile, an advisor to Khamenei on Nov 01 said Tehran will increase the range of its ballistic missiles & possibly review its nuclear doctrine. The latest threats from Iran come as tensions have been growing b/w arch-enemy Israel and Iran over tit-for-tat missile and airstrikes. Israel on Oct 26 carried out airstrikes inside locations in Iran which claimed the lives of four soldiers. The Israeli attack on Iran came as a retaliatory attack following the Oct 01 attack on Israel when the barrage of missiles was fired. The Iranian attack was in response to the killings of the leaders of Hezbollah and Hamas in the ongoing year-long conflict in the region. Iran’s “axis of resistance” that is Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis has been engaged in cross-border firing with Israel. Israel sees Iran as the crucial backer of the Hamas attacks which killed about 1,200 people on 7 October last year.
