We went to “just have a look”.
We left having bought a motorhome that looks like it belongs to someone’s nan. And somehow… we love it.
Meet the Lunar Premier H592. Home for seven months. Questionable seat fabric. Surprisingly elite French bed. More cupboards than any human needs. A captain’s chair that refuses to swivel without a fight.
This is the moment it all became real.
We’re leaving Weymouth at the end of April, heading north through Hertfordshire and Peterborough, up to Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Marathon. Then a bit of the NC500, maybe Skye, back via Newcastle, across to Wales, Ireland, Spain, Italy, the Balkans, Budapest, Prague and eventually Frankfurt Marathon before crawling back to the UK in November.
Loose plan. Tight Schengen allowance. Mild panic.
There’s still logistics to sort, a bike rack to fit, and a stubborn door latch to fix. But the big decision is made.
We bought the van.
