19-year-old Charlotte from Germany is a good example of someone who loves nature and Africa, who enrolled in the Professional Field Guide course, but does not typically want to become a guide? Why would she spend one year in the African bush, if becoming a guide is not her main purpose? She joined the Professional Field Guide course, mostly to gain the experience of being out in the wilderness. At the same time, she gets the opportunity to gain useful qualifications, work experience and do what she loves most… being outside and spending time with animals (at a safe distance of course)
