Special Demonstrations #19: Donpachi (Plasmo, 75.4mil 2-ALL [WR], Type C)

Описание: These are the Special Demonstrations, a series of high quality replays by some of the best shooting game players out there, donated by the players themselves. As with the past SD releases, the motto is "great players deserve high quality replays", and I hope to continue that with every successive release.

The series is captured by the players themselves, and the raw footage is then processed by myself using Final Cut Pro X, Motion and Compressor into something that hopefully resembles a commercial replay release.

So Plasmo quite a long time ago asked me if I'd be interested in making a Special Demo for his WR score in Donpachi. Well, of course! I've had the pleasure of seeing his practices that led up to this run, and it's always a treat to see high-level Donpachi play.

It's taken quite a long time to put this together though, mainly because Plasmo is very busy nowadays, and I had to wait a while for the annotations. We've made this one extra special, though, as we don't just have Plasmo's gigantic set of annotations to read, we also have 15 additional embedded clips which demonstrate the more optimal chains at key points, which also show that this replay, while being the highest scoring run for both Type C and the highest scoring replay available online for the game overall (as of writing), also still has some improvements that can be made. I think the true upper limit of the game was estimated at around 90mil?

As usual, many thanks to Plasmo for contributing both the run and some very detailed notes for the game. We finally have a high-scoring high-quality Donpachi run that does the game justice!
