Makita was one of the first brands to give us a hammer drill with more than 1000 in-lbs of torque and the XPH07 and XFD07 has been a workhorse for them. The XPH14 promises even more power and in today’s video we’re going to test them both head-to-head! Makita’s two flagship hammer drills may seem similar on the surface, but it’s the internals that matter. Using our test track consisting of drywall screws, 10 holes with a ½ inch twist bit, 10 holes with a spade bit, another 10 with an auger bit, and finally boring 2 different sized holes with holesaws. Once we present our test results, we’ll also go over a few other comparison tests we ran, to see once and for all who’s on top! Makita XPH07 or Makita XPH14?
