This paper delves into Sikh, female youth culture by interrogating blog sites as an archival source. This paper integrates psychoanalytical modes of understanding desire, motherhood, nationalism and allegiances to religion through the critical works of Nancy Chodorow, Yen Le Espiritu, Lila Abu Lughod and Debrah Toleman.
Gitanjali Singh is a third year Doctoral Candidate at the Gender Studies program at UCLA. She has taught "U.S. Women of Color 318″ at CSU Long Beach for 6 years and "Race and Racism" at CSU Northridge. She is a Eugene Cota Robles scholar and hold the UC Chancellor awards. Gitanjali also served as an analyst for Los Angeles Unified School District for five years.
