This video will show you how managed to defeat, The Stranger.
Obviously I'm new to the game so please don't be too harsh in your comments!
So.....
This will show the intro into when the Stranger turns up at your house until he is defeated. You don't have Atreus to help you out and it does take quite a while to defeat him.
Effectively the best way to beat him is to wait until he's directly in front of you and either throw your axe or if you are close enough melee. Watrch out for when he turns red or blue as this means he's going to attack from a distance or he can withstand punishment. At this stage you should get your shield ready by pressing L1 (I was quite often too slow for this!) It is just a case of repeating this again and again until you finish him off.
