Infectious syphilis rates are at an unprecedented high in Canada and globally. This webinar will describe the patterns of resurgence in Canada and discuss the challenges posed by parallel epidemics of substance use and the inexorable links to poverty, unstable housing and mental health issues in some populations and the influence of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis and dating apps in others. Some approaches that are being taken across the country to improve access to testing and prevention will be described.
