The incident occurred during final exams at 4:05 PM, with the shooter described as a male dressed in black who escaped via Hope Street and remains at large. A shelter-in-place order is in effect for the greater Brown University area while Providence Police, Brown Police, FBI, and ATF conduct an active investigation.
