Whatever their personal reasons or the circumstances that led them to their current position, many people I talk to--regardless of age--simply tolerate their job. In a way they are comfortable being uncomfortable. They are bored, disenchanted and sometimes, resentful. They believe it is better not to think deeply about their job. (I always thought this to be a form of passive denial.)

The reality is they are NOT stuck in a dead end job. There are options. But, before you can fix a problem you have to recognize and accept that there is a problem. And, then determine to fix it.

In this video I offer up seven universal signs that a person is in a dead end job. These are not just my observations. They are also the observations of many others. I offer them up because I believe them to be accurate. If you find all or most of these signs true for you than its highly like you are in a job that is going nowhere. In other words you are in a dead end job. If that is okay with you fine. But, if its not okay with you I want you to remember this: No matter how old you are you have options. You can immediately start sending out your resume or maybe even start a business. Explore your options. If that means find a new job then at the very least find a job that will respect you, your experience and your skills.
