Wajir, Mandera governors ordered to record statement over clashes

Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo has ordered Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi and his Mandera counterpart Ali Ibrahim Roba to record statements with the police over the renewed clashes between the Garre and the Degodia clans in the area. Kimaiyo said the Police will not spare anyone especially political leaders and businessmen who might have participated directly or indirectly in the Sunday attack at the Gunani area of Wajir and Mandera border in which 20 people were killed while several others were injured.
