Ingredients for masala:
1) Dry Red chilies- 6 to 10 nos. (as per your spice level)
2) Dry Coriander seeds- 1.5 tsp
3) Khaskhas (poppy seeds) - 1 tsp
4) Cloves- 10 nos.
5) Black peppercorns- 10 nos.
6) Cinnamon stick- 1 inch
7) Star Anise- 3 petals
8) Javitri- 1/2 petal
9) Nutmeg- Tiny piece
Ingredients for coconut paste:
1) Fresh scrapped coconut- 1 cup (1/2 coconut)
2) 2 green chilies
3) Dry Tamarind- 1 small marble size (or you can roast and add 1 tomato)
4) Fresh Coriander stems- Few
5) Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
6) Onions- 1 cup (roughly sliced)
7) Masala powder ( mention above or use readymade as per your spice level)
Other ingredients:
1) Kalwa/Oyster cleaned ( 1+1/4 cups)
2) medium size onion finely chopped- 1 no.
3) coconut oil/cooking oil
4) salt to taste
5) Potato cubed (1 large size) or few cauliflower florets (optional)
