La Società Sportiva Cavese 1919, comunemente detta Cavese, è una società calcistica campana ed è stato il principale club di Cava de' Tirreni (SA).
Fondata nel 1919, i suoi colori sociali sono il bianco ed il blu.
Nell'estate del 2011, in seguito a gravi inadempienze finanziarie, la Cavese è esclusa dal campionato di Lega Pro Seconda Divisione[1]. Non perde, però, l'affiliazione alla FIGC[2] ed, attualmente, milita nel Campionato campano di Attività Mista[3].
In seguito all'esclusione della Cavese, sorgono due ulteriori realtà calcistiche a Cava, l'A.S.D. Aquilotto Cavese, militante in Terza Categoria Salerno Girone C e l'A.S.D. Città de la Cava 1394, che nella stagione 2012-13 parteciperà al campionato di Serie D.

The history of Società Sportiva Cavese 1919, formerly known as Cavese, starts on 1919 when it was founded as Unione Sportiva Cavese. It is an Italian football club, based in Cava de' Tirreni, Campania. Currently it plays only in the youth championship of Juniores Regionale Campania. The nickname is Aquilotti (little eagles). The owner is Giuseppe Spatola and the Chief Executive is Michele Angelo Sica.
Any continuity sports exists with the other two teams of the city[1] born in 2011: A.S.D. Città della Cava 1394 and A.S.D. Aquilotto Metelliano Cavese that play respectively in Serie D and in Prima Categoria Salerno.
It having last been in Serie B in 1984.
