AccessTalks is a series of seminars organised by postdoctoral and predoctoral members of the TransMedia Catalonia research group. These online events bring together experts to discuss cutting-edge topics in media accessibility, fostering dialogue and knowledge exchange in the field.
This webinar is focused on how to reduce communication barriers and move towards healthcare systems that are fair and inclusive, through multilingual, sensory-accessible, and patient-centred communication.
Two excellent talks, chaired by Aida Villaécija (TransMedia Catalonia, UAB):
Amy Dara Hochberg (UPF): bridging barriers to inclusive care through multilingual and sensory-accessible communication.
Laia Vidal (UB): terminology-based strategies for plain, patient-centred health communication.
This seminar is part of the AccessCat Network (2025XARDI0001) and is supported by the Department of Research and Universities of the Government of Catalonia (2021SGR00077).
