Gale Warning in the Strait of Juan de Fuca - Sailing SV Pardon My French 4K!

Описание: We couldn't have dreamed of a better delivery back from the Swiftsure from Victoria, BC to Seattle and we love to share this windy video with you in 4K. Action sequence starts at 5:30. Enjoy!

What was supposed to be a direct shot across the strait of Juan de Fuca ended up in an epic sail with three crossings in one day -- each over 20NM, and with fantastic and strengthening sailing conditions. Most of the Swiftsure crew stayed on for this delivery and enjoyed a much longer sail, some whale sightings, a gale and even a coast guard helicopter coast guard fly-by. We couldn't clear US customs at Port Townsend on Memorial Day as we had done the year before. We were sent back to Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands instead -- but it turned out to be some the best sailing we've ever done on Pardon My French.. Big smiles all round when we reached Seattle at 3:30am the following day.
