(1/8/2022) Ice Brady had arguably the top performance of the Matt Denning Nike Hoops Classic on Saturday at Mater Dei, posting 31 points and 24 rebounds in an 81-44 win against Ontario Christian.
In addition to Brady's diverse scoring arsenal, the Dons' team-wide ball movement stole the show, and they converted the good looks they created at a high clip. Gizmo Navarro scored 15 points, with most of them coming in the first half to help put OC away quickly. Izzy Navarro registered 11 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists, and Taryn Johnson added 12 points.
Despite picking up its first loss in near-blowout fashion, Ontario Christian is still 13-1 and ranked in the top 25 in the state. Shayla Gilmer led the Knights with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Chloe Briggs added 13 points.
