1 cup chana dal

2 green chillies (slit)
2 cups water
1 tsp ghee
Pinch of hing
Salt as per taste
Ingredients for Pakwan Dough:
1 cup all purpose flour (maida)
1 tsp whole cumin seeds
1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
3/4 cup water
3 to 4 tsp oil or ghee
Oil for frying as required
Salt as per taste
Garnish & Serving:
Garnish the hot dal with chopped onion and tomatoes, topped with coriander chutney and sweet tamarind chutney, and sprinkle fresh coriander leaves.
