An upright welder cart can be very handy for certain work.


For example, in breweries, or juice factories where sanitary stainless work is done and a small inverter tig welder handles the work.

The problem with most welder carts is there never seems to be enough places to manage cables and store tools.

You will see a new product in this video that solves some of those issues.

Its called a Hel-Hook.

Hel is short for Helmet and its a place to hang a welding helmet, wrench, purge hose, etc.

And I think its a big upgrade to any welder cart.

And since I have a Powermig 210mp welder, I wanted to see how a harbor freight hand truck would work with a few modifications.

So I while I was on vacation, I called my friend JD and asked him to come up with some ideas.

And so when I got home, I visited JDs shop and he cut the pieces on the plasma cam and in about an hour, we had a pretty nice cart.

So nice that he wanted to keep it.

So that means I will be making another one for myself. So you will see that build in a future video. I will try to capture dimensions for the next video and use a different welding method just to make it educational.
