Onslow County is a tapestry of charming towns, each with its own unique character and offerings. To give you a starting point, I’m going to dive in and provide a quick overview of a few towns in Onslow county to help you choose the right place to call home.

Jacksonville is the heart of Onslow county, a vibrant hub with a strong military presence due to it’s proximity to Camp LeJeune, diverse amenities, and a welcoming community spirit. Here you will find a mix of urban conveniences and coastal charm. Side note.. Plaza Del Mariachi has the best tacos in the entire county. I said what I said.

Swansboro is Known as the "Friendly City by the Sea,"It’s a cute little picturesque town nestled along the White Oak River. It’s got Quaint streets, historic architecture, and a thriving waterfront which makes it a haven for those seeking a relaxed coastal lifestyle. It’s location is super convenient for members of our military community as it’s right between 2 military bases.

Hubert, North Carolina- which is a quick 18 minute Drive to Jacksonville. Hubert provides a peaceful residential area with convenient access to the neighboring town of Swansboro and it’s own gate into Camp LeJeune. It's a great spot for those seeking a slow suburban lifestyle. It’s got a slightly lower price point, which we’ll talk about in another video. AND there are no city taxes.

Sneads Ferry , NC -So let’s move in the other direction. Lets move a little further south to Sneads Ferry. About a 25 Minute drive from Jacksonville, Sneads Ferry also conveniently has gate access to Camp LeJeune, Courthouse Bay and and is in close proximity to Stone Bay.
Sneads Ferry is great for those who love coastal living. Enjoy waterfront views, fresh seafood, and a close-knit community that celebrates the coastal lifestyle.

Next up is Holly Ridge, North Carolina.. Now Holly Ridge is another area with small-town charm and great coastal vibes. Also a 25 minute drive from Jacksonville, This location is pretty spectacular with easy access to the beaches of N. Topsail just down the road a bit. AND Wilmington North Carolina is just about 45 minutes south, depending on traffic.

Richlands, NC-So for those of you who like something a little more rural, maybe a little farm-y. You’ll love Richlands. A 20 minute commute from Jacksonville will get you there. Richlands offers a blend of country tranquility and modern conveniences as it’s quickly growing. Experience a laid-back lifestyle with friendly neighbors and a strong sense of community pride.

No matter which town you choose, Onslow County offers a range of options for everyone. Each town has its own unique charm, friendly neighbors, and a strong sense of community that makes living in Onslow County a truly special experience. 🏡🌊
