Описание: In the Buddhist tradition, there are two main schools of thought that developed after the death of the Buddha: the Hinayana and the Mahayana.

Hinayana, also known as the Theravada tradition, emphasizes the practice of mindfulness and the cultivation of wisdom through individual spiritual development. The goal of the Hinayana path is to attain enlightenment for oneself and to escape the cycle of rebirth.

Mahayana, on the other hand, emphasizes the cultivation of compassion and the aspiration to attain enlightenment not just for oneself, but for the benefit of all beings. The Mahayana tradition also includes the idea of the bodhisattva, a being who is dedicated to attaining enlightenment and helping all others to do the same.

Both the Hinayana and Mahayana traditions seek to follow the Buddha's teachings and achieve enlightenment, but they differ in their emphasis and approach to spiritual practice. Checkout the Video to know in detail.
