Much more than an artist (one of the most prominent nationally and internationally) Through the Città dell'Arte -- Fondazione Pistoletto, he devotes significant resources in putting art into active relation with the different domains of society, in order to inspire and produce responsible transformation of society through creative ideas and projects. Among his most recent creations is an extensive work of land art, called 'Third Paradise', located in a clearing in the forest of Saint Francis in Assisi (www.pistoletto.it).
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
