Epitome is an upcoming free to play fantasy MMORPG that was successfully crowdfunded on kickstarter earlier in 2026 raising over 500 thousand euros from over 20 thousand backers, honestly I never thought we’d ever seen another MMO break 100k dollars on kickstarter again given the success rate of these games but at the very least Epitome does already have something somewhat playable which is more than can be said for the vast majority of kickstarter funded MMOs with many of them shutting down before even reaching that point.
As for the game itself Epitome is in a very early testing stage and seems to be fully embracing AI technology with hopes to features AI generated quests tailored to your playstyle as well as AI companions that will fight alongside you, this game is being developed in the latest version of Unreal Engine and seems to be heavily inspired by eastern mob grinders such as Metin 2 and Lineage, basically go out in the world, grind mobs, gather materials, enhance your gear via an RNG upgrade system, complete dungeons and then go fight the enemy faction to control areas of the world.
