The Extra stage and Last Words for this game came out not too long ago.
This group always releases their main games first and then their Extra stages down the line.
IBP is still easily one of the best Touhou fangames just in terms of stage design, and this Extra stage is no different. It's a very fun stage to play, lots of macro movement and aggressive play. It also has laser wheels so you know it's good.

This game is known for being brutally hard, but the Extra stage felt pretty chill.
The stage itself was harder than the boss I feel.

Trying to take advantage of headsitting with MarisaB as much as possible to do massive damage.
Just make sure to move away before you end things to not get rammed.

The survival isn't that bad if you don't move too much on wave 3 and 5 since everything is aimed.

The last two nonspells are a bit sus, I feel like they can wall you sometimes.

Used the fanmade English patch for this run.

IBP is a freeware Touhou fangame that's the newest game from the same group that made games like Hollow Song of Birds, Riverbed Soul Saver and Trifocuser. They are known for consistently making very high quality free Touhou fangames since 2012.

The game was designed by Len this time, who you might know as the guy that made Phantasmagoria Trues. It's easily one of the best Touhou fangames ever made because of that.
The stage design is very tight and all the boss patterns are super fun and creative. The stages are a lot more arcade-like than what you normally see in Touhou, but I prefer that a lot more since it's way more involved and fun.
The game is also very hard, way harder than their other games.

MarisaB is easily the most fun shottype to use in the game. It has good speed and range and the backshot gets a lot of use too.
The biggest DPS with this shot comes from sitting on top of an enemy unfocused and letting both your front and backshot hit it at the same time. This does a MASSIVE amount of damage. Shades of Impossible Spellcard perhaps.
The demo had a bit of a problem with Youmu being very bad. They fixed it by buffing her but they went like waaaay overboard with it. She kills basically everything before it even does anything now. Not quite MoF MarisaB tier but it's close.

The system is basically the Mystical Power Plant system but with a twist. Shooting enemies and grazing their bullets releases autumn items. Collecting these will give you levels at certain thresholds, and every level gives you a perk.
Unlike Mystical Power Plant though, you keep these perks until you use a special attack, which will consume two levels.
Special attacks vary between character and shottype, they can cancel some bullets or give you some temporary invincibility.
Getting levels and extra levels also gives you bomb and life pieces.
