Liwa Oasis is located right on the edge of the Rub' Al Khali (Empty Quarter), the world's largest uninterrupted sand desert, serving as a gateway to its vast dunes and desert activities. It's a historic area known for its date palms, traditional lifestyle, and access to massive dunes like Tel Moreeb, making it a prime spot for desert adventures within the Empty Quarter.

The LC71 did well. This was 1 day post heavy rain. Driving on sand post rain is very different than driving on normal dry days. The sand becomes harder on surface but soft in the inside. This makes it easier at most times but could trick you into getting stuck, or worst by flipping goin on steep sideway hills.

Quick comments: power was great with the car, especially on first gear (driving 4h). 2nd gear is a little too long and takes time to build up power on higher RPMs. Driving around aggressive dunes like these you need power available to you at all times. This makes it stressful on the car if you keep cruising on 1st gear. You also reach limiter on 1st gear quickly but once you upshift you loose the thrust. I would guess this wouldnt be a problem with manual cars given you can shift at anytime you wish without the car obstructing you.

Traction on the car going sideways was a little weak also. This is down to the tyres not performing as well. Also has to do with the car’s suspension not keep all wheels planted on the ground.

The car overall is like a buggy where you can take it almost anywhere you point it.
