Client Brief and Expectations:
Design a space that embodies the artistic and professional ambiance of an art gallery. An office space that not only functions effectively, but also provides constant inspiration and reflects the sophistication of an art gallery. Thus the design should inspire creativity, promote productivity and serve as a showcase for art and innovation.
Challenges:
Ensuring that the space remains practical for daily work activities while incorporating elements that reflect the ambiance of an art gallery. Practically curating the experience of an art gallery within a low ceiling and restricted space that is designed to be only an office.
Concept and Design Approach :
Being ‘Color Neutral’ was the overarching concept around which the entire design was curated. Layout with spacious areas that defined art gallery rooms and exhibit spaces complete the experience. Textures and finishes that add depth and interest got incorporated. Furniture provided in such spaces was minimalistic that enhanced the overall experience ensuring no distractions or demanding any kind of attention at all. Even though the ceilings are low and natural light availability is limited, the overall lighting design fuels the focus of art creating a memorable experience.
